If you could just pray every single day that I can book them at LP in the spring that would be amazing. I think that we need this show to happen so . Do it. Here be a link to that songGodspeed

It’s amazing how this is the season when everyone traditionally is kinder and more light hearted towards their fellow man, and it is just a time of joy and fellowship regardless in most cases of what you believe or whatever. Yet this year more than any other year things have just been the opposite. Ever since I got my job at the mall I have really been able to observe that way people have become around this time. I have come to the conclusion that most people these days will go to great lengths to spend tons of money on people to show their love for them. It seems that as people we have grown an incapacity to show and also recognize expressions of love for one another without some sort of material gain. Also All over the news and radio they have been talking about alot depressing stuff and I haven’t really heard any stories that have been positive. And on top of it all there are those who are close to me who are having to deal with sickness and possibly death in their families and it all is starting to seem like their is no joy at all. How could their be? Everywhere you look there is selfishness, greed, and tragedy. Well I for one still feel pretty good about life and this world. Sure there are terrible things that are happening and like mike posted there are so many people who don’t know Christ and there is just so much wrong with this world, but I find joy in the fact that there is so much for me and you as a fellow child of the most high to do. We have all been called to do great things to further the kingdom of God and right now is when every single one of us has an amazing opportunity to spread a message of endless and unconditional in every sense of the word love. In this time of unending negativity we can spread the most positive message that there is. We have a chance to make a radical change in peoples lives because what we have to say is something different from anything else that people know. Like I said before its a message that speaks for itself all we have to do is share it and I can’t think of a better set of circumstances to share it in. So especially now when things are looking dark remember what it is that drives you to keep waking up every morning and try and share that feeling with the people around you who need it most. We truly have a chance to be a light in the darkness and I suggest that we don’t waste it. I feel so positive about the future of myself and everyone I know and the area that I live in. I feel that amazing things are about to happen as long as we just give up control and let God lead us into them. This is it. Praise the good Lord for everything he has done and may all glory go to Him.amen

birthday

December 13, 2007

So i have been waiting to post about my birthday because the whole entire day from midnight to midnight it was absolutely amazing. I did so much including being in New York City at 1 am and going to the apple store on 5th Ave, and hanging out with amazing people all day. I got some cool clothes and stuff and most importantly I got a new bible which I needed badly and this one is leather-bound so it should hold up a lot longer than my last one. I really wish I could write out every minute of the day and get across how amazing it really was but I feel I would leave something out in the process. If anyone were to ever want to hear the story I would be more than happy to tell you in person but here is a list of the eventsRiding on a train for the first time Roaming NYC in the early morning and not having to fight through crazy peopleVisiting the legendary 5th Ave apple store Mike getting me an amazing bag for my computersleeping on the train ride home Sleeping in my bed for a few hoursWaking up to cake and a ballon with a train on it and Randi my wonderful lady Hanging out with Randi until angela got homeGoing to Westfarms mall  to eat at the Rainforest CafeGoing to see Dan in Real Life at the plainville movie theater all in all it as the most I have ever done on my birthday and I thank everyone for the good wishes and blessings. I do hope that everyones birthday can be as awesome as mine was. I might be able to get a sweet car on friday so if you might keep that in your prayers it would be much appreciated.  God is good. May the good Lord bless and keep you. Godspeed.

I love working at the Apple store. yesterday i was working and this guy came in and he was interested in purchasing a computer like so many before him but this situation was totally different. This guy had never had a computer in his entire life and he had heard from friends that macs were probably a better place for him to be. He is a photographer who wants to get into digital photography but all he knows is his dark room and film cameras. I was nervous as I always am when selling computers because I feel like I am leaving something out all the time. So me and this guy start to talk and I start to tell him some of the reasons in my opinion that a mac would be better suited for his needs. Since he had never experienced the technology before pretty much the whole time on his part was spent in wonder and excitement at how in depth he could get with just the basic set up and he was exposed to things that he had never seen before. Needless to say he got me pretty excited and I got more comfortable and by the end of it this guy was so pumped to get a new computer. His first one. It was an amazing moment to be a part of. To see someone living in this day and age who has never owned a piece of technology that most of the world would tell you is something essential to everyday life is a rarity and I felt good that I was able to excite him about the wonders an the amazing world that he had yet to tap into. I was debating on whether or not I was going to talk about this guy just because I didn’t know if there was anything besides a good story. Not that I am all about tying to find something that will teach a lesson in everything. I’m not. but I just got to thinking about how there are people who are living without something that to us is essential to everyday life. I am so glad that I am also in a position where I can share that amazing experience as well because as exciting as computers are, receiving the gift of eternal life, the most precious and amazing gift ever to be given totally ousts them. So rejoice!

I was reading 1 Corinthians this morning and in it paul says that Christ has sent him to preach the Good News and he says “not with clever speech, for fear that the cross would lose its power” and I think that is amazing to hear. The message that we have to give to other people is one that is powerful enough in its own authority to change lives. God has done all the work for us by allowing Jesus to die for us and He made it so easy for us to share that. It also says in that section of scripture “The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.” He is telling us here that unfortunately not everyone is going to get it. The message is powerful but there are some people who regardless will never accept it as truth. But even in the midst of this fact there are the people who are being saved and accepting this message of hope and love and they understand the magnitude of the action taken for our salvation. So i guess the point is for me at least, we don’t have to worry when telling people about the amazing grace that is available and we don’t have to plan out some speech and make it sound better than it really is by using too many words. We aren’t selling a lackluster product to a consumer who isn’t really interested, we are spreading the one message that has the power to turn someone’s life around. Thats amazing.

How’s it?

There isn’t really a reason to post I just wanted to see what happens when there is more than one post on the page. I am watching that movie Gone in 60 seconds and all I am getting out of it is that you shouldn’t steal cars. Sounds good to me -)
